About Us

WestSide Tilth is an urban market garden in the heart of Buffalo, NY. We use organic practices on our farm so you can feel good about the food you’re eating. We have imported all of our soil so there is no risk of contamination from the city soil below. We grow a wide variety of vegetables, herbs, microgreens, cut flowers, and mushrooms.

How We Grow

Clean, Imported Soil

We are committed to growing safe, healthy produce for our community. To ensure we are doing just that, we do not grow in the city’s soil. Instead, we’ve imported over 600 yards of new, clean soil, to cover every square inch of our farm that your vegetables are grown in. Below our imported soil, we’ve laid down a geo-textile barrier, which keeps any potential contaminants from reaching our crops. We grow seasonally, and use specialized tools and techniques to mitigate pest and disease on our farm, without the use of harmful pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides.

RESTAURANTS

We partner with many restaurants, providing the most local and fresh produce available in our city.
